| amy and i moved in this weekend! my stuff is finally all in one place...and i'm glad i got rid of some stuff...and the search to do so will continue. we are getting organized and excited about our housewarming party!!! woohooo!!! we had lots of awesome help and i appreciate them...yet none of them have xanga so....i'll have to thank them elsewhere.... in the meantime, if anyone needs a place to stay in KC, lemme know!!!!! | | |
| hey guys... sorry it's been awhile...like 2 1/2 months...i am leaning towards myspace more for blogging and the facebook for messaging people, but i will continue to read these even though i don't update...if you want to add me to either of the above, just search me :0) hope you're all doing well!! | | |
| yeah...sorry it's been awhile since i posted, i'll try to give you a true heart-rundown sometime, but ...."hi" to all my xanga friends! i have a "real" job now (i'm a utility forester for KCP&L's line clearance), i have a great church (jen liked it-which means a lot, but it's called harmony vineyard and i've already gotten to see the body of Christ coming together to support each OTHER and the community...SO cool), i live in eastern KC (this is new for this northland girl, but i have 2 great roommates: Rachel and Melissa), i've met some great new friends and gotten back in touch with old ones (darrick, rachel (the one that's my roommate), april and i hope to get some others.....if you are reading this and i haven't, call me cuz i'd like to see you but don't know who wants to!), i've also gotten visited by jen, april and cassia-FUN times :0) and i get to see some more peeps when they're driving home for christmas!! woohoo!! | | |
| this weekend rocked!!! the movie was alright, but the company before (bday party for brandon!!) and during ( my women's bible study girls) was great....even with the flatish tire. saturday i woke up and took my car in and walked to work...for some reason, when i don't drive somewhere, i feel free...and love it...but it'd take too long around here to just give up my car...at any rate, they fixed some stuff so lloyd sounds better and only charged me a bit. then... jen came to town! we went and got my ticket, ran into some NW folks and then went to the jerusalem cafe for dinner-YUM and broadway cafe for coffee!!! (i heart westport) and then went back to the concert and had AMAZING seats (actually a booth with blue velvet seats) and heard some surprisingly good groups...same band with headliners: Schuyler fisk, joshua radin, carey brothers (that's his last name....really), and the weepies! then we went to matt and gabe's and she got to start to meet some friends and then we stayed up talking for awhile :0) sunday-church was great! the HSers led worship and john brown threw down :0) he's on week 10 of a 4 week series on abiding...goood times....and jen liked it which made me happy! and then we had....steak dinner....at church....that's right-harmony is THAT cool! then we went so she could see where i'm moving to-soon! and then went shopping for my new room.... after jen left (SAD) then i got to meet my cousins for dinner and then hang in liberty and have some quality conversation over strawberry cheesecake ice cream and butterfingers! pretty much the things we did might have seemed petty or silly but...it was the conversation in those times that made the weekend!!! | | |
| i went to see it...and unlike some of my peers...i liked it-exactly for what it was-a hollywood version of a historical event....yup. highlights without giving anything up: -when they were first discussing killing the jews, the general says "he speaks of women and children" and the king says "yes i know" (to which kyle adds...."i am one of them") hehehe! -at the end...mordecai: "prince mordecai of persia....the jew" HA! -the terrible acting of the women when they are first brought to the palace and "scared" by the way...they disappear quickly other than the funny parts of them trying to impress the king individually -a girl near the front whooping when the line "for such a time as this" came up....that was funny but...it was an interesting, unique, creative way to present the story-maybe encourage some girls to read the book by tommy tenney or the actual story in the Bible... i read your posts too, summer and megan | | |
